I had my roommate take this panorama on my phone. We had some trial and error to try and figure out how to get me in multiple places at once. We finally figured it out (chopping off my legs in the first chair, oops). I tried to change up the poses, and definitely accomplished what I was trying to do with this photo. I wanted to make sure I could sit in the different chairs in the room. I pretended to sleep in the 3rd chair and if you zoom in, you can actually see me with one eye open, thanks to the lag from the panorama.
When I saw the prompt for this week’s DS106 Assignment, I got super excited. I do photography (check out my photography account if you want/need photos done), so I knew this would be a great opportunity to share some photos I took while also showcasing some of my favorite places I’ve been to! The photo in the top left is on a mountain in Yosemite National Park. My family and I went together and we hiked to the top just in time to capture the sunset. The photo in the top right is from when my family and I went to Bumpass Hell in Lassen Volcanic National Park and I took a photo right before we reached the bottom of the hill. It showcases the hot springs that the area is known for. The middle left photo is also from Yosemite in Tuolumne Meadows where we got out for a short amount of time to walk around. It was a really nice break and all I remember is being happy. The middle right photo is from Kings Canyon and I was still learning how to capture motion in photos at the time. It was great practice for my photography and I vividly remember talking to other tourists who were visiting the waterfall. They were all very nice and it was a wonderful 15 minute stop. Lastly, the photo at the bottom of the collage is from Lake Helen, a lake on Mount Shasta located in Lassen Volcanic National Park. It was in the middle of August when we went and it was super shocking to find snow at the top! The water was freezing cold but made for beautiful photos. These are definitely all places I recommend for other people to go to. I know I would go again!
