I both loved and hated seeing this prompt. I am from Northern Kentucky, about 10 minutes South of Cincinnati, Ohio so I am quite far from home at the moment. This means that I am very far (about 1,000 miles to be exact) from my dog. His name is Jesse, he is a 9-year-old Cocker Spaniel Poodle mix (Cockapoo) and he is the best thing that has ever happened to me. When I left for school, I asked my Mom to specifically stop sending me photos of him because it would make me way too homesick and I would end up moving back home. I haven’t been able to look at pictures of him since I have been here this semester, leaving him after winter break. This assignment required a GIF of our pet and he is the only pet I own, so I had to go back through the pictures I had of him. This definitely did not help my homesickness and I now have a plane ticket to fly home for spring break. I chose one of the cutest photos I’ve taken of him, but trust me, there are definitely more. He had just gotten out of the bath and we had to use his new shampoo with tea tree oil in it, so he was not very happy about the smell. I wrapped him in his Spiderman towel and he pouted on the couch for about an hour. I would give anything to see him again soon (I did in fact pay $300 for a plane ticket to see him for spring break).
