I was told to draw on this map to make my own “better” version of the wasteland map they provided for me. I chose to stick to the theme of my Blog and choose a sustainable route. I chose to draw a wind farm, featuring a power plant powered by wind turbines, using renewable energy rather than drilling or fracking. Another feature on my map is the two tree farms. Here, trees are planted daily and the farms are ever-growing. This way, we are able to have access to lumbar without creating a major, negative environmental impact. I also included sailboats, using a sustainable option of sea travel. The eco-built buildings keep eco-friendly building practices, including plants on each external structure, allowing for increased photosynthesis as a way to mitigate CO2 production. The animal-crossing bridge allows for a safe way for wild animals to cross highways without becoming roadkill. The algae wall is an implementation in relatively every facility in this area, that promotes more photosynthesis, taking up the same job as the eco-built building plants. The solar panel farm would be another source of energy in relation to the wind farm. And lastly, the hydropower dam would provide another source of renewable energy so drilling would hopefully be the last option.
