I had so much fun making this to the point where I could not stop at making just one. Using funny wildlife photos made this so easy, all I had to do was find a demotivational poster already made and then add my own text at the bottom, pasting a picture I found separately on top. So, in summary, the “Hang in There” and the “Silence” parts of the poster were taken from other demotivational posters and I remixed them, adding different images and different tag lines at the bottom. I think mine are hilarious, I had to add them both.
When I saw what this assignment was, I’m not going to lie, I was very confused. I have never seen this movie so I didn’t quite understand the underlying joke, but I did manage to find a reason as to why my final product is funny to me. The DS106 example for this assignment chose veganism for its remixed word, so naturally, I chose the opposite to the extreme: cannibalism. And I feel like it appeals even more to the joke of National Socialism because humans don’t get special treatment, everyone and every animal is equal and can be eaten. ***** Disclaimer: I DO NOT SUPPORT CANNIBALISM! ***** I just thought that I had to send that message so there is no confusion. Just thought it was a funny twist on this meme assignment.
