There were a lot of steps in creating this final assignment, but since I have had a whole semester of this class under my belt, it was not too difficult to navigate. I successfully posted my first ever YouTube video, used InShot to edit my Interview Video, used my phone to film, and used Google Slides as my platform for my presentation. I don’t think I have ever used this many apps at once! (Okay, as a Gen Z, I probably have, but still! It was fun to do).
It was nice to take the time to look back on all that I have completed for this class and ask myself how it has helped me grow and become better at social media communication. I came to notice that I was picking up on new techniques and was perfecting the ones I started with. I am very proud of everything I have made for this class and I am happy I got to participate in making each of these assignments.
Going into a possible communication or public education career in my field of Marine Biology, this class – and these assignments – have provided me with the groundwork necessary to navigate and participate on different social media platforms!
